Known as Tui Shou the practise of push hands usually requires a partner. There are various methods that include single or double hands as well as fixed step or moving step. Pushing hands is an excellent Tai Chi exercise for health. This art is one of the most popular in the area of competition due to its challenging element of receiving and expending internal energy. In China it is often said “Let’s play pushing hands.”
